Project Scope
Motor grader operators on a road project for the Ruta Nacional 40 in Nilo (department of Cundinamarca), which is a municipality and town of Colombia, required better visibility of other road workers and vehicles when their motor graders were reversing.
Proposed Solution
APS recommended the ECCO Gemineye camera and monitor system to meet the heavy-duty requirements of the motor graders. The system included a 7” (178mm) LCD monitor, and a camera that featured a 120 degree viewing angle, 6G mechanical vibration resistance and IP69K ingress protection. Installation of the monitor and camera was simple, and operators were impressed with the excellent picture quality even in low light conditions. Four Komatsu GD555-5 Motor Graders were fitted with this system.
